Do you think you are able to support victims & witness of crime during there time in court?

Whether you are retired with some spare time on your hands, a Student or even someone who works but has a day of, Witness Service & Victim Support can offer you an invaluable experience & nationally recognised qualifications.
Learn about the law, and gain qualifications such as NVQS, and awards of excellence. You will gain an insight in to how the court system works, you can help as little or as much as you like and volunteering last from a year up.
If you think you are compassionate, able to listen and understand individuals and not to judge, then contact our training Manager-Carolyn Hodrien, who will be happy to give you details of training and chances to volunteer with witness service


Recruitment Process:

Volunteer expresses interest and is sent a pack informing them of the service.

Volunteer returns the application and attends an informal interview with the branch manager.

The volunteer attends a more formal interview with the Area Manager and then consents to fill in a CRB form.

Volunteer attends 5 day training course.

Volunteer attends accreditation interview post-training.

Volunteer works with Branch Manager.

Volunteer works with Victims and witnesses of crime
.
Police.
Probation service.
Social services.
Solicitors .
Any public service work.
HMPS.
Court service.
